  All shrimp vessel owners are reminded that after October 26, 2007, applications for commercial shrimp vessel moratorium permits (moratorium permit) will no longer be accepted or approved. Vessels fishing for or possessing shrimp in federal waters of the Gulf of Mexico have needed a moratorium permit since March 26, 2007.
